Site first aid call points added to fire alarm system
The site is piloting a new addition to the wireless alarm system – a first aid call point.
This alerts all site staff as to the position of the alarm and the severity of the person’s injury via an app on the site staff’s smartphone.
Once alerted staff can accept or decline the alert with regards to their proximity thus allowing the closest first aider to respond.
This is also linked into the fire alarm, so all fire alarm alerts are shown in the app allowing swift response to a possible fire.
This system is not yet on the open market – we are working with the manufacturer as the system’s first ever site.
