Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) and Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)

A high level of training and constant review of safety plans are essential to maintain a safe working environment.

The construction industry poses a variety of dangers to those working within it, the general public and visitors attending sites.

It is therefore of the utmost importance that the site has safety plans implemented and regularly reviewed and all operatives are kept up-to-date with safety procedures and the appropriate training, to ensure everyone’s well-being.

To ensure that managers and supervisors have the correct safety training, many sites have demonstrated the following:

  • All site managers were trained to SMSTS level and all supervisors to SSSTS.
