Site Specific Sustainability Route Map

It can sometimes be difficult to communicate sustainability issues to the workforce and present this information in an easy-to-understand way.

See the examples below for how one site achieved this:

  • The group as a whole has a Sustainability Route Map which, while informative and depicting the group’s good environmental intentions, was not making operatives aware of their site’s actions towards promoting sustainability.
  • The site team decided to create a site-specific Sustainability Route Map to be displayed in the welfare area.
  • Information is displayed clearly with, for example, the generated site monthly tonnage of CO2 emissions being compared to an airliner travelling 1.9 times around the world.
  • The poster is updated frequently to reflect current performance details, achievements and targets, providing operatives with up-to-date and easily understood information specific to their site.
