Smoking Policy Template

Implementing a smoking policy on site is important to ensure that operatives have a safe and healthy working environment.

The smoking policy should provide non-smokers the right to work in air free of tobacco smoke, whilst also taking into account the needs of those who do smoke.

For sites that do not have their own company policy in place, the Considerate Constructors Scheme has developed a smoking policy template.

This can be used to inform your workforce of the basic rules around this issue.

Please be aware that this Scheme document has been produced as a template, which can be adapted to meet the individual needs of your site/company.
