This contractor have been working to accurately track and measure the social and economic impact of their construction operations, in particular looking at the social return on investment and social profit ratio.

Using social profit calculator methodology accredited by Social Value UK, the professional body for social value and impact management, they can measure the impact of their employment and skills outcomes, local labour and local spend activities. This has taken place on their recently completed James McCune Smith Learning Hub project at the University of Glasgow and will be implemented going forward on all future projects.

For the James McCune Smith Learning Hub project the report shows that £1.87 has been generated in return for every £1 spent by the University.
