Soundex Cutting Enclosure Trial

This contractor has assisted with product development and feedback of the Soundex Cutting Enclosure.

The enclosure was constructed under the guidance of a technical consultant and trialled by their SFS contractor.

Feedback was given to them on potential improvements around working space. With the site abutting a live school and residential housing, the Soundex Cutting station provided an environment where cutting activities were not a hindrance to those in and around the vicinity.

The system provides up to 32.3 dB reduction in noise and is easily constructed, manoeuvrable and can be used in conjunction with Dustex extraction units.

The traffic light box with integrated noise meter is located externally to the enclosure to identify when trades in the immediate vicinity should use ear protection.

As a result, the site has had no complaints from any cutting activities on site, from operatives and residents alike
