Sprinkler System to Control Dust

Construction dust can cause lung cancer, asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and silicosis to name a few.

Therefore workers are the most exposed to developing these diseases, because many common construction tasks can create a large amount of dust. Especially waste disposal and recycling processes can be responsible for this, and have adverse impact on primarily the workers’ health, but also other parties nearby.

To attempt to control dust, the site logistic team put together an efficient plan to suppress the dust during the recycling process. They installed a four-arm rotating sprinkler, which operates either as a jet spray or a mist spray, right where the dust is generated, to prevent increased dust levels.

The dust is now efficiently damped down and the logistic team welcomed the improved working environment, in which they can now carry out the recycling process more safely.
