Stimulate Demand for Environmental Product Declarations

The Irish Green Building Council are running a campaign to have specifiers of construction products to ask for Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) and preferred products with an EPD where possible.

Sisk are signatories to this commitment and aim to ask for an EPD for all materials and products used on our projects. The aim of the campaign is to have more manufacturers produce an EPD by stimulating a demand for this information in the marketplace.

The Fibonacci Square project is acting on this commitment. We are asking all of our suppliers and subcontractors to provide an EPD for the products used on this site. To date the Sisk team have gathered 25No EPD covering a wide variety of products. The team will continue to do this until all the materials required are procured. Where multiple products have an EPD there will be a preference to use the product that has less environmental impact.
