During periods of change and high demand, the Costain Skanska Joint Venture building Crossrail’s Paddington Station require their staff to be resilient and proactive about maintaining their wellbeing.

The workplace has a duty of care to provide an environment that not only creates formal opportunities for wellbeing discussions, but actively encourages managers to discuss levels of stress and resilience with their staff.

This training aims to assist the managers within the Joint Venture to develop a workplace environment that notices and supports staff who are struggling with stress related concerns, and continually works towards managing stress and building resilience.

The training provides managers with the skills and confidence to manage stressed employees and develop resilience within individuals and teams.

The training covers:

  • Exploring the meaning of stress
  • Understanding the relationship between pressure and stress
  • Being able to identify the early warning signs of stress in staff
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of managers and employees in relation to workplace stress
  • To explore resilience and what contributes to strengthening our own resilience
