Our site team on Marsh Farm were glad to welcome construction teaching staff from Barnfield College in Luton to support their on-going learning.

Thirteen members of staff attended the Marsh Farm site to experience the Keepmoat induction process. The idea was to ensure that staff were up to date with industry standards, so that Barnfield students are taught what to expect in the real working world.

Project Manager, Alex Emirali, commented.

“It was a pleasure to work with Barnfield College to deliver the induction training. A number of lecturers had been out of the industry for some years, so the event was a great way of bringing them up to date with current induction practice. It is common for young people to start work with little knowledge of the standards and behaviours expected on a construction site, so anything that we can do as a company to better prepare new entrants to the industry is a good thing”

The event was the first in a number of initiatives that we have planned with Barnfield College as part of our commitment to supporting its curriculum.
