Supporting charities and the workforce through canteen furniture

At the development project for Aviva and Sainsbury’s in Redhill town centre, RG Group have installed a workforce restaurant for refreshments and break times.

The restaurant uses specially adapted site cabins, with a small servery/kitchen area at one end and a seating area in the main space

Food services are run for breakfast, lunch and afternoon breaks by a local catering company.

To procure the furniture RG Group ordered the 17 tables and 68 chairs from the charity ‘British Heart Foundation’s’ website.

All the tables and chairs were new and the same design, whilst soft furnishings were sourced from a local YMCA Furniture outlet.

At the end of the project the furniture will be offered back to the charities free of charge.

This shows great support for local charities as they benefit from the original purchase, and then again when they re-sell the furniture back through their local stores, and additionally the workforce benefit from some quality furniture in a cafe style environment.
