Supporting the CCS ‘Spotlight on coronavirus’ campaign

In support of the CCS ‘Spotlight on coronavirus’ campaign the project team is highlighting its on-site coronavirus communications and the strict protocols invloved.

This includes a targeted poster campaign, a dedicated coronavirus compliance officer, provision of additional good hygiene facilities throughout the site, mandatory coronavirus training including the CIF coronavirus induction programme’ daily briefings and tool box talks so that everyone on site knows and understands what’s expected of them as well as close monitoring of everyone coming to the site as per the site’s operating procedures including temperature screening.

The team and support staff have put in place all of these conditions for their site operatives and subcontractors to work in a safe, healthy and productive working environment in line with Government Protocols, HSE guidelines and CIF Standard Operating Procedures.

Everyone understood how the protocols impact their role and work situation and cooperated fully with the site’s coronavirus compliance officer.

This example of best practice is just one way that projects can work to tackle the virus and reduce the spread. For full guidance and the latest Government advice read the Construction Leadership Council’s Site Operating Procedures.
