Sustainability Podcast

This contractor has created a Sustainability Podcast available on social media and the contractor’s website, promoting a positive sustainable image of the construction industry.

The podcast has been a vehicle to discuss challenges and opportunities sustainability presents to the construction industry, as well as the promotion of World Environment Day and sustainability graduate career opportunities.

The benefits of this initiative are:

  • Promoting sustainability and sustainability careers within the construction industry to the wider public.
  • Creating a positive image of construction.
  • A wide audience is able to hear at first hand the challenges and opportunities sustainability presents to the construction industry.
  • Using a podcast makes information more personal, rather than an individual receiving information via an email or document, therefore it is more likely to be read and digested.

This is a new way of promoting sustainability and sustainability careers direct from the construction industry and is believed to be the first sustainable podcast created and led by a construction company.
