Sustainable Process from Start to Finish

Wernick Hire products aim to be eco-friendly through every stage of their lifecycle; from a low waste creation process, to energy saving on site and eventual recycling.

Much of Wernick Hire’s fleet is made at sister company Wernick Buildings’ new manufacturing plant. This facility has recently attained ISO14001 – the highest award available for environmental management systems.

Certification was made possible by the use of a sustainable supply chain and efficient systems for construction and waste management.

FSC certification has been granted as timber is sourced from FSC approved sustainable forests.

The nature of manufacturing buildings ‘offsite’ begets a more controlled environment where waste is more easily segregated for recycling.

When products come to the end of their lives, they are sent to another of Wernick Hire’s sister companies; Wernick Refurbished Buildings. Instead of going to landfill, the cabins are recycled and sold on.

Wernick Refurbished Buildings recycles around 600 units annually, with most coming from Wernick Hire.

Each unit weighs 4 tonnes, that’s over 2,000 tonnes of rubbish saved from landfills every year.
