Task Specific Safety Gloves

Gloves can help to protect workers hands and arms from abrasions, chemicals, vibration and extreme temperatures.

It is important that operatives have the best protection to ensure their safety and wellbeing in the workplace.

Below is an example of how 3 sets of task gloves were provided to workers and segregated using a traffic light system:

  • Red gloves were for regular tasks where little cut resistance was needed;
  • Yellow gloves had a higher cut resistance and were intended to be used by banksmen and slingers, these also had specific safety messages on them tailored for lifting operations;
  • Green gloves provided the highest level of cut resistance and also had job specific safety messages printed on them.
