Taytech System for Surface Runoff Treatment
The project operates in close proximity to 10 sensitive watercourses. A feature of the project is the large amount of earthworks required and managing the potential site run off is absolutely imperative in protecting the surrounding environment.
The project partnered with Taytech – a company who provide a dosing system which utilises more environmentally friendly coagulants to help remove suspended solids from silty water, allowing it to be safely discharged into a watercourse.
The system challenges more traditional aluminium and other metal based coagulant systems which can create harm to biodiversity.
Taytech uses an intelligent dosing system which adjusts dosing levels to suit requirements ensuring that only the exact amount of chemical is utilised for the required treatment, further protecting the environment.
