Telehandler Speed Reduction

Fourth gear has been removed mechanically from the sites 14m telehandler forklift which reduces the speed limit of the machine down to 9mph from 15mph.

It has been done mechanically to avoid the possibility for electronic override and this then ensures the machine cannot exceed the maximum site safe speed limit of 10mph which visually feels like a huge difference and most  importantly is possibly the difference between allowing greater reaction time to avoid an accident if an instance occurs.

There is an identification sticker and certificate kept in the machine for operators information.

A green light is located on the roof of the cab which indicates seat belt in use and aids us in managing the drivers safely.
