On site, several of our subcontractors have set up their own workshop areas in the compound.
These workshops are set up for prefabrication of work before bringing materials and product into the construction zone. This benefits not only timing and labour costs, but also safety as workers do not have to work in trenches or excavations (fabricating pipework for example).
A number of workshop areas which stand out from the rest are from Ruland Engineering, a German company who are looking after installation and services on site.
Their workshop was installed by an Irish based company, Donnelly Hire. This type of workshop is a patent idea where the tops of the ‘shed’ attach onto the neighbouring compound, as seen in the image above, resulting in a weather and water proof enclosed area with a fully close-able door.
Their workshop also includes anti-slip mats, waterproof equipment and specific quality approved tools and machinery.
