Temporary Power Battery Supply Units

During the initial phase of works, a direct mains feed was not available for the welfare and site supplies, therefore a generator was required.

To address planning constraints, nuisance to our neighbours and carbon footprint/emissions associated with large diesel generators, they considered the use battery supply units to operate primarily out of hours, but also to address inefficient running out with peak working hours.

Engaging with their key supply chain partners, they researched the available options within the market place, and landed with Green Power battery supply unit (BSU) as it offered a bespoke solution for each application. All other suppliers were able to offer a BSU, however with limited functionality. The BSU power solution provides individual programming to each outlet to ensure power is only consumed/directed by necessity driving greater efficiencies from the BSU and greatly reducing generator running times.

The performance of the system is monitored remotely offering capability for alterations and optimisation of the system without engineer call outs.
