Terram Pram

The Terram Pram is a solution from this contractor’s health and safety team designed to simplify the laying of geotextile.

The pram is a mobile device that not only speeds up the process of laying geotextile but makes the process safer for operatives using the device.

A drawing was created for the pram, and it was fabricated in the workshop, the device is also being patented which will make it the only device of its kind available on the market.

Previously, operatives had to bend over or kick the geotextile rolls into place, which posed ergonomic risks and increased the likelihood of slips, trips and falls. This simple mechanism eliminates those risks, and is ideal for use on long runs of geotextile layers which not only improves safety but the speed of which this activity is carried out.
