Testing VOC’s to Create Two UK Firsts

On this project, the client had the vision to produce the worlds healthiest workplace and to do that they need to push the boundaries of what is acceptable further than ever before.

The contractor challenged their supply chain to see how they can achieve this whilst maintaining all heath and safety building control standards. They have two products that have met this, first with Thorpes 18mm MDF faced with pure timber veneer with a clear semi matt euro class B lacquer which performs to euro class b and with very low VOC’s.

The second product being an Altro manufactured Whiterock which is a high-performance PVC wall cladding solution which was also tested for VOC’s which has also passed.

The adhesives and lacquer components are procured from companies with ISO 14001 integrated management systems.
