The British Safety Council’s ‘Speak Up, Stay Safe’ campaign

Initiatives should be in place to ensure continuous safety improvements are made on site.

Involving the workforce and learning from incidents is a great away of raising safety standards on site and keeping everyone safety aware.

The British Safety Council has a ‘Speak Up, Stay Safe’ campaign which aims to raise awareness amongst young people and improve communication and confidence, in order to ensure good health and safety practices.

The British Safety Council have made a safety film to encourage young people to think about health and safety on site.

It was made with a construction apprentice working on a large block of flats in London, called ‘Construction risks: an apprentice’s view.’

This film was part of the Speak Up, Stay Safe campaign and could be a useful resource to include as part of the induction or safety update process, amongst the workforce.
