HSE Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, or CDM, came into force on the 6th April 2015, replacing the 2007 CDM legislation. The current CDM legislation aims to improve health and safety within the construction industry by doing the following:

  • Helping you to sensibly plan works so risks are managed throughout the project.
  • Ensuring you have the right people for the right job at the right time.
  • Helping you to co-ordinate your work and co-operate with others.
  • Ensuring you have the correct information about the risks and how they are being managed.
  • Helping you to consult and engage with the workforce about all of the above.
