The Solatainer

The Solatainer is a new innovative power source for site compounds. The unit combines solar, generator, battery and for the first time in the UK, wind to provide renewable energy for running the site.

During its first month on site, we have observed a 27% reduction in the total cost and over a 87% reduction in carbon dioxide production when compared to the 50kW generator we were using previously.

The Solatainer also comes with smart technology which allows the site to monitor the power production and consumption in real time. This has allowed us to reduce power consumption on site by monitoring and targeting high energy activities.

We continue to work in partnership with the developers of this technology to further enhance the product through meetings and reports.
