‘Time to talk’ sessions

Mental health is a vital issue in the construction industry. Considerate employers who value their workforce will prioritise mental wellbeing alongside physical health.

See the examples below for how one site achieved this:

  • Introduced weekly ‘time to talk’ sessions, with a psychologist visiting the site once a week.
  • Operatives were encouraged to discuss mental health and any stress-related issues with the psychologist.

This initiative goes the extra mile by embedding mental health awareness into the weekly routine of the site, enabling those struggling with mental health issues to get the consistent and regular advice they need.
