This contractor supported by Ayrshire Medical Services introduced cancer screening for staff with testing available including PSA (prostate specific antigen), CA125 (Ovarian Cancer) and Bowel screening.

This programme has been very successful and well received by the Client, Network Rail, with 20 persons to date having had various symptoms confirmed by GP’s.

The Client were so impressed that they are making it guidance that all rail contractors to provide this level of surveillance.
