Traffic Light System for Plant Tags

To ensure compliance under LOLER regulations, Avondale Construction Ltd have introduced a traffic light system to monitor plant and lifting equipment.

The idea of the traffic light system is to ensure that the thorough examination certificates of all plant and lifting equipment is in date and compliant.

The tagging system also allows plant to be easily identified by site management when carrying out health and safety inspections.

The tags indicate the following:

  • Green – a thorough examination has been carried out and the plant is safe to use.
  • Amber – a thorough examination is due for renewal within 1 month.
  • Red – a thorough examination has expired and the plant should not be used.
