Traffic marshal video cameras to monitor vehicle movements and ensure accountability

Safety on and surrounding the site should be at a high standard.

Risk assessments should be conducted with appropriate measures implemented and communicated to everyone, to minimise the risks to both the workforce and the public.

Everyone on site is accountable for their own behaviour and the health and wellbeing of not only themselves but their colleagues and the general public.

Below is an example of how sites have monitored traffic management and the safety of drivers, cyclists and pedestrians:

  • Traffic marshals all wore video cameras on their site safety helmets;
  • These cameras recorded vehicle, cyclist and pedestrian movement around the base and perimeter of the building, at busy road and footpath junctions.
