Treating Road Sweeper Arisings

This project is using the Filter Feeder dewatering system which uses no chemicals and requires no power supply to dewater/treat road sweeper arisings.

The dewatering system uses beads, manufactured from recycled plastic which are nonbiodegradable, with an expected design life of 100 years and are non-toxic to plants and wildlife as the filter medium.

The system is portable, so can be moved to different site locations or, on completion of a project, to a new site. Pits to treat sweeper arisings are often constructed in-situ. As there is no requirement for chemical additives, no harm is done to the natural environment.
