Up-skilling the workforce and ushering in the digital age

Mace’s Greenwich Peninsula Upper Riverside Team worked alongside Sablono to train our supply chain to use an online scheduling system that has replaced the traditional paper based programming on site.

Sablono offers a state of the art web-platform and mobile application to manage, document and oversee complex construction and delivery management processes. It offers project managers real-time information about their detailed construction sequences using QR codes, resulting in tremendous time and cost savings.

Working with Sablono and our supply chain, Mace has developed new features on this app that allow communication between trades before and after works complete. This has resulted in an increase in staff productivity as well as a reduction in time and costs that occurs when packages cross over. The app also provides real time analytics of the planned works and allows the trades to report using live dashboards and reduces time spent logging data. The trades are also able to identify key issues early in the process to avoid delays.

A monthly training is offered to all operatives from varying levels of knowledge to develop their digital and technology skills by using the Sablono app in their day to day work. Using the feedback from our users Mace has created a user-friendly system to ensure that the needs of the operatives are incorporated into the app which can be rolled out to the rest of the industry.
