Upcycling Event Banners for the Workforce

This contractor worked with Calluna Upcycling to recycle their stand from an exhibition they presented at. This was converted into handy pencil/make-up cases and distributed for the workforce, reducing waste to landfill whilst providing a gift for the workforce.

Calluna create flexible work for people who for a variety of reasons need it – all of their workers struggle with a personal circumstance which benefit from the flexible working provided. In addition, 10% of all their proceeds from the products sold also goes to charity.

It is unfortunately the norm to see exhibition hall’s full of waste post event, sometimes several large skips worth. The team at Calluna Upcycling made it their mission to save as much event fabric from landfill as possible.

To date Calluna have diverted 4,287m2 of fabric from landfill, 20,088kg of carbon and 5,757,800 litres of water from the polyester recycled.
