Use of Broadband Reverse Alarms

The project team at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Development have implemented the use of broadband reverse alarms. These have been retrofitted to all MEWP’s.

This stemmed from a complaint to site relating to noise at night.

The project team undertook a fact finding exercise on how to more proactively mitigate environmental nuisance and noise specifically.

Broadband or white noise reverse alarms cause less nuisance to neighbours and this has resulted in no more complaints being made at the site relating to this.

These alarms are also more directional than the standard two-tone reverse alarms (which emit a beeping sound), adding an additional safety benefit.
