Use of Hy-Ten Bamtec Rollmat Reinforcement

In partnership with Cidon, GMI have selected to use Hy-Ten Bamtec Rollmat reinforcement with the aim to minimise disruption both on site and outside of site.

Hy-Ten Bamtec Rollmat is where the floor slab reinforcement is prefabricated and welded together as a roll off site and is delivered to site in rolls pre-cut and formed to size. This only requires lifting from the wagon and rolling out onto spacers once in position.

Traditionally, the mesh and individual bars would be cut to size on site and this would be a noisy, labour intensive and wasteful task.

By selecting this system, GMI have eliminated the need to cut the steel on site which has minimised noise, waste and time. The system has also allowed for ‘just in time’ deliveries for slab reinforcement on a site which is extremely limited in storage, allowing for GMI to make sure of the available space as much as possible.
