Use of Local Resources Policy

We have produced a ‘Use of Local Resources’ policy to outline our stance on investing within the local community that we are working in. The policy has been included within our policy handbooks and is displayed on all of our sites.

Contributing to the local community will create goodwill and using local suppliers can leave a lasting positive impression. Residents will be more inclined to welcome Barlow Construction & Renovation (BCR) into an area, when any negative impact is off-set by what the site contributes locally. Our sites will show a commitment to people, stakeholders, community and the environment and become a temporary member of the community whilst working within it.

Ways in which we contribute to the local area are sourcing materials locally and using local amenties such as shops and meeting spaces. We have also contributed in ways such as litter picking, fundraising & donating to food banks within the area.
