Using Hoardings as Managed Mural Art Spaces

The Global Street Art “Building Sights” programme effectively turns blank hoardings into managed art spaces.

Since 2012, Global Street Art has organised 1,000 legal art murals, working with artists from 50 countries.

We manage several hoardings in London as art spaces on behalf of developers.

Transforming hoardings into art galleries offers developers a range of benefits, such as:

  • Improved appearance of your building site;
  • Reduction in nuisance tagging;
  • Better integration with the local community;
  • Improved relations with planning authorities;
  • PR and social media benefits for developers;
  • Costs can be very low in comparison to dibond coverings.

Parts of the programme we can offer more information on include: project management (initial and maintenance), getting started (the launch and prelaunch considerations), costs and troubleshooting.
