At Westleigh we are always looking to improve and show our workforce that they are valued within the company.
As well as monitoring and supporting the workforce on a day to day basis we perform appraisals on site every year. These appraisals are extremely important and benefit all parties.
They allow the employees to discuss any matters that may have arisen during their working days or issues that affect them personally. It also allows the employees to express where they feel their strengths are within their role and company or where they wish to improve. This may be extensive training within the role they already carry out or a wish to train for another role within the company.
The appraisals are also a way for the managers to show the employees they are valued and to establish where they may need to encourage them in different aspects of their role thus ensuring that they work to the best of their potential which will not only be a value to the production of the site but also the company as a whole.
It is very important that this exercise is followed up and Westleigh always ensure that this is carried out. Once the appraisals are completed, our Human Resources and the Production Management teams review these and respond to each individual discussing what individual training is available or supply any support that may need to be given.
We feel this does give a sense of value to the individuals and boosts their morale knowing that their work contribution is vital to all in the company.
