Vapour Control Layer Pre-Install Application

Working at height is always high risk. As the winter months approached at the Midlands Centre for Cyber Security, a unique system was developed to omit the risk completely.

Once the CLT roof panels had been delivered on site, the Vapour Control Layer was applied at ground level then craned into position. This therefore meant that the operatives were not required to work around the crane on the roof, as well as preventing the timber panels becoming wet and disrupting the project schedule.

Using this installation method, the panels remained at the correct moisture content to continue in a timely manner.
