Visitor Safety Measures

Systems should be in place to care for the safety of visitors, as well as the workforce and the public.

All visitors, including auditors, were given a brief induction about safety and were asked to sign in and out of the site. They were also asked to indicate who should be notified in case of an emergency.

PPE was provided for visitors and various coloured helmets were introduced for different roles on the construction site.

Blue was for visitors, white for site workers and a green helmet for employees that held a safety qualification.

The location of the foreman was also clearly indicated.

Visitors and suppliers were able to safely reach the construction office via the ‘blue zone,’ as well as being escorted at all times.
