Visitors’ Induction Guide

All members of the workforce and visitors to the site must have a site induction.

The induction is site specific and will provide everyone with information on the current hazards of the site and the basic site rules.

  • At a number of sites, a visitors’ induction guide was sent in advance to those individuals and companies arranging to go to the site;
  • General site and specific safety information, as well as parking instructions and induction forms were provided by email to better manage expectations, visitor preparation and awareness of individual assistance needs;
  • Induction was still delivered on site so that questions may be addressed and the form completion can be witnessed.

This not only provided an opportunity to say what is expected in terms of safety, but also to promote the values that are important to the organisation.
