Volunteer Cricket Coach

Tackling social exclusion with young people, the Public Liaison Officer for the project has volunteered their time to take part in coaching sessions at Dukinfield Cricket Club.

Coaching small groups of 6 children (social distancing observed) practising practical skills such as batting, bowling and fielding along with lifelong skills such as teamwork, communication and leadership.

The cricket club currently play in the Manchester Cricket League and have teams from various age groups, their aim is to get children away from their consoles and tablets, off the streets and into competitive sport.
