VR safety videos

Safety messages need to be communicated clearly and effectively to minimise the risk of injuries on site. New technologies such as virtual reality can be particularly effective at making these messages resonate with workers.

See the examples below for how one site achieved this:

  • The site uses short virtual reality clips to promote key safety messages.
  • On such example was a clip relating to ground workers in a collapsing excavation using the perspective of the operative.
  • Trials with the site workforce have been successful.
  • The videos are developed in collaboration with a VR developer and they are looking at covering a wider range of site activities.
