In order to effectively secure everyone’s safety, it is vital that safety procedures are efficiently implemented and communicated to all affected by the construction work.

Planning for fire emergencies or accidents and keeping equipment up to date, will help to continuously improve and safeguard the workforce, visitors and community.

Below is an example of how sites have introduced updated fire extinguishers for use on and around sites:

  • A water mist, all purpose fire extinguisher, suitable for all fire types was introduced on site;
  • These extinguishers were rechargeable on site, which led to a reduction in journeys to collect and replace out of date extinguishers.
