Water Recycling Wheel Wash

Mace at new stadium development procured a water recycling road sweep (from JM Clark) specifically to reduce water use as well as work related road risk and CO2 emissions from site. This system filters the water it uses and feeds a percentage of this back in to the system for re-use.

Estimated water reduction is between 30-50%, although more likely to be at the 30% mark, on average (due to roads being particularly debris laden during the excavation phase of works).

This reduced the number of trips back to the depot by two per day equating to approximately 60 trips saved per month. This equates to circa 1,500 miles of road journeys saved (25 miles per return journey) in a month back to their depot in Stratford.

Visual quality of road surfaces with relation to debris and cleanliness was improved as a result of this due to the increased coverage of road sweeping on the roads (decrease in lag time between the return journey to Stratford).
