WELL Building Standard

IQL S9 is targeting a WELL ‘Gold’ rating by designing and construction a comfortable, modern building which is independently accredited.

The WELL Building Standard was launched in the USA in early 2015 by the International Well Building Institute (IWBI). The standard is a building rating system that follows a similar process to BREEAM, however it focuses on managing and verifying the contribution of a building to the wellbeing of its occupants and end users.

There are a number of different performance categories that the standard is assessed against. These include Air, Water, Nourishment, Light, Fitness, Comfort and Mind. Each of these categories address key issues associated with achieving a building designed and optimised for health, wellbeing and productivity.
