Wellbeing Day – OH Nurse & Sun Awareness

The wellbeing of our employees are important due to the structure of working shifts, it is important that we offer our employees the opportunity to access professional health advice and checks.

A wellbeing day was organised on the 20th June 2016 as a follow up from another event in September. An occupational health nurse was available on site to carry out free lifestyle and health checks.

Wellbeing assessments such as blood pressure, cholesterol check, diabetes indicator check, vision check and BMI assessment were on offer.

In additional to this, Cancer Focus NI was invited on site with their ‘Skin Scanner’ to promote the importance of Sun Awareness as we come into the summer months.

The Scanner uses UV light to show any damage below the top layer of the skin. Information was also given to operatives on how to enjoy the sun at home and abroad.
