Wellbeing Drop-in Centre

Mindful that mental health has been highlighted as a significant issue in the industry, BW have created a Wellbeing drop-in centre.

The idea is that it’s a discreet place to go and sit should you either need time to yourself, seek advice or chat with someone with a sympathetic ear.

There is also information available on mental health matters. One of the big stigma’s of mental health issues is actually asking for help.

The site management have all had mental health first aid training and will take the time to talk with someone sitting in the drop-in centre.

There is also a large support network where professional help can be obtained if necessary.

The centre was launched in April where the site operatives had the opportunity to attend a presentation explaining how the drop in centre would be used.

There has been excellent operative feedback and two occasions where the centre has been used.
