Wheel Washing to Prevent Mud on the Road

Having had other projects where mud on the roads was an issue, the client asked the contractor to come up with a way to manage the mud and wheel washing on site to ensure that mud was not deposited onto the roads around the site.

The contractor came up with their own design for wheel washing on site which was a large silt trap buried under the ground that held the silt and filtered out the water.

This was able to be cleaned out regularly by the waste carrier and was far easier to manage and use on site than the normal above ground wheel washing systems.
