Workforce App for Site Entry and Exit

The site have adapted the site entrance and exit to a biometric contactless entry to and from site, via use of the M Site Workforce App.

The App is downloaded onto individuals mobile phones and is a live method of finding out who is on and off site. The method reduces the need to touch shared surfaces (ie fingerscan) which helps to reduce the spread and risk of coronavirus.

The project has conducted a pilot on the use and due to its success, this is being rolled out to other sites. The App now also has the ability to send out notifications, such as changes to routes and exclusion zones, so is another means of communication on site directly to the workforce.

This example of best practice is just one way that projects can work to tackle the virus and reduce the spread. For full guidance and the latest Government advice read the Construction Leadership Council’s Site Operating Procedures.
