World Cancer Day

World Cancer Day is coordinated annually by the Union for International Cancer Control.

The week promotes the research for curing as well as preventing the disease, upgrading the provided services to the patients, the sensitisation of the common opinion and the mobilisation of the global community against cancer.

To support Cancer Talk Week on your site, you could do the following:

  • Hold a toolbox talk about occupational health risks, including cancer awareness;
  • Encourage people to talk honestly and openly and make sure your operatives are aware that the site has an open door policy and/ or a formal process for raising concerns;
  • Support community charities or take part in activities to raise money for cancer charities;

World Cancer Day takes place on the 4th February annually, to find out more about this event, click the link below.
