X-Step – MEWP Additional Height

The project has adapted a number of MEWPs on the project using the X-Step through the contractors in house plant and equipment hire arm.

This is a new solution with only approx. 10 available across the UK. It allows operatives additional reach when using a MEWP where something is out of reach due to height, or space restrictions.

This solution reduces the risk of operatives standing on the railings and therefore reducing the risk of incidents when operatives require extra reach.
